BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Council do hereby approve the agenda as circulated.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Council do hereby adopt the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on January 21, 2026 as circulated.

BE IT RESLOVED THAT: Council receives Report to Council 2026-009 as information; and THAT Council direct staff to continue monitoring service levels, enhance public education efforts, and further review cost trends as outlined in this report.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Township of Amaranth does not support the legislative changes to the OMERS Act contained in Bill 68 and requests that the Government of Ontario reconsider the advisability of proceeding with these changes; FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Township of Amaranth Council supports the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) in calling on the Government of Ontario to maintain the current OMERS governance model, with two corporate Boards, as the structure that would best deliver on the long-term interests of municipalities, taxpayers, and employees. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this resolution be circulated to: The Honourable Rob Flack, Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs; The Honourable Peter Bethlenfalvy, Minister of Finance; Sylvia Jones; and The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO).

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Zoning By‑law Amendment Application Z17‑2025, for lands legally known as Lot 87 on Registered Plan 329 and municipally known as 33 St. John Street in Township of Amaranth, County of Dufferin be

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Council direct staff to enter into a financial agreement with RBC for the purchase of two (2) Western Star plow trucks for a term of twenty four (24) months at 4.35% interest.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Report to Council 2026-010 be received and that Council authorizes the use of an alternative voting method being telephone and internet voting for the 2026 municipal election. Staff be directed to bring forward a by-law to authorize the use of the alternative voting methods.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Council move to a Closed Meeting pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001 , as amended, for the following reasons: Personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees – staffing concerns Third Party information supplied in confidence to the municipality – Grand Valley and District Community Centre

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Council do now rise and report from Closed Meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Leave be given to introduce a by-law to provide for the regulation, restriction, keeping and licensing of dogs and kennels, and that it be given the necessary readings and be passed and numbered as the next sequential number.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Leave be given to introduce a by-law for an amendment to Schedule C to the imposition and collection of fees and charges for certain Municipal Services and Activities, and that it be given the necessary readings and be passed and numbered as the next sequential number.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Leave be given to introduce a by-law for an amendment to Zoning By-law 2-2009 on lands known municipally as 255600 9 th Line in the Township of Amaranth; and that it be given the necessary readings and be passed and numbered as the next sequential number.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Leave be given to introduce a by-law to adopt Amendment No. OPA-07 to the Official Plan for the Township of Amaranth on lands known municipally as 255600 9 th Line in the Township of Amaranth; and that it be given the necessary readings and be passed and numbered as the next sequential number.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Leave be given to introduce a By-Law To Temporarily Delegate the Duties and Powers of the Treasurer to the Chief Administrative Officer during a period of leave; and that it be given the necessary readings and be passed and numbered as the next sequential number.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Leave be given to introduce a by-law to confirm the Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Amaranth for February 4, 2026; and that it be given the necessary readings and be passed and numbered as the next sequential number.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Council do now adjourn to meet again for the Regular Meeting of Council on Wednesday February 18, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. or at the call of the Mayor.
